New Property Manager!

Shannon joined our operations in the west, representing long term rentals in Fairhope, Daphne, Mobile and the surrounding areas just a few short weeks ago. In her new role as Property Manager, Shannon will act as the main liaison between our owners and tenants. Not only will she work to maintain relationships with the two, but she will be in charge of growing our operations in the aforementioned areas.

But enough about what she is in charge of, we want you to have a feel for who your new property manager is as a person. Shannon spends most of her spare time in and around the beautiful Gulf of Mexico waters, particularly boating with her family and friends. She’s an avid travelers who is rather familiar with her “own backyard.” She does however, have plans to travel outside the country in the near future.

Perhaps the best way to start the process is to understand how they work. The truth is, scammers use a variety of tools and methods to post fraudulent listings on a range of sites. Some just copy and paste, others can take properties that are listed for sale and post for rent, and some do it across multiple, “reliable” sites.

It’s hard to know if its a scam, but you can definitely pinpoint the signs – for instance, have they asked for private information with a sense of urgency? Better yet, have the requested you wire money through Western Union or Moneygram? That’s when you stop.
