Fall Decorations for Your Home

Fall is officially here and with it comes Halloween, Thanksgiving and a few other festive holidays that provide the perfect excuse to decorate your Perdido Key condo. Don’t worry, we are not just talking about cobwebs and plastic ghouls to create a spooky vibe, we are thinking this is the year to take a more elegant approach to Halloween decor that can last the entire harvest season.

So, how do you decorate your home for the fall season? Consider bringing nature indoors. As the weather cools down and you spend more time inside, bring outdoor elements in to help represent the season. Branches, wheat sheaves and dried flowers are all elegant additions that you can buy at your local craft store.

You could also decorate with food elements such as, pumpkins, butternut squash and even curly-leaved greens. After all, just because your mother said not to play with your food does not mean you can’t decorate with it…

Lastly, don’t forget to have fun. No matter how you decorate your guests, trick-or-treaters, family and friends are bound to be impressed. For more household tips and tricks, from decorating and staging to real estate sales, contact our experts agents at Pointe South.

It’s officially fall here along the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama. Temps will begin falling, slightly, and that means something very good if you own real estate in Coastal Alabama or Northwest Florida – it’s time for great fall events!

In the summer, the weather is just too warm to stay outside for long unless you are lounging by your pool or riding waves at the beach. In the fall, however, the humidity gives us a break and the weather is ideal for long days spent wandering festivals.

Along the shores of Alabama you will find many wonderful events to attend, no matter your interests. In Fairhope, attend the Grand Festival of Art where over 70 artists will be displaying their handcrafted items. At The Wharf in Orange Beach, head out for the LA Gumbo Festival for music and good eats.

If you own real estate in Perdido Key or Pensacola, make your way to Pensacola Beach for the annual Songwriters’ Festival or sip suds at Oktoberfest at the Perdido Key Oyster Bay. All events take place the first week of October and things only get better from there!

August 2014 Monthly Market Reports

Recent reports released by the National Association of Realtors indicate that August home sales have remained below the pace that was set in 2013. Even so, the market seems to be performing stronger than experts had predicted earlier in the year.

The same can be said for the Perdido Key and Pensacola real estate market. Below you will find a compilation of data taken from the Pensacola Association of Realtors. Included in this is, a variety of information to help you gauge where home sales stand in your local area.

In a nutshell, year-over-ear activity in the Pensacola Beach area has increased by two sales while Perdido Key has decreased by one. However, home values are on the rise which is a positive indicator that the recovery continues.

Are you interested in learning more about these trends and how this could affect your future real estate endeavors? Contact our agents at Pointe South, not only do they understand these trends, but they have the resources and commitment to help you whether you are interested in buying or selling.
