Southern is dedicated to extending our resources to the families and communities of Louisiana as they work to rebuild their lives in the wake of the tragic flooding that devastated the area. Southern Rentals and Real Estate has pledged to donate $5 to the American Red Cross for each vacation reservation made from September 1st through the 15th, 2016. Over 7.1 trillion gallons of water fell on the areas of Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana, over just ten days in August of 2016. Dropping more water than Hurricane Katrina, the unnamed storm caused extreme flooding and an emergency evacuation. People had no choice but to abandon their homes and search for safety. A reported 146,000 homes were damaged and an unknown number of businesses were closed due to the flooding. It is believed that some of the flooded areas will never fully recover.
Southern has teamed up with the American Red Cross and has pledged to help the flood reliefs efforts. Please join us as we help the families and communities of Louisiana rebuild in the wake of this disaster.
